Hi!
I grew up riding my little Haitian mustang, Lightning, like an American Indian..without bridle or saddle. I jumped fences, roped half-grown wild boars that got in the Haiti mission corn fields.
I also used to race my Akhal Teke throw back mare, La Brujah, for pieces of sugar cane. She could cruise at 30 mph, so always won.
Those two got together and had a buckskin colt, Suki, in 1973, and he once saved my life by instantly obeying the touch on his neck and leaping sideways into a 10-foot-deep ditch beside the road when two racing camion trucks suddenly came around the corner, and there was no escape.

Black Jack once joined my own racking horse to fight off an attacking stallion and saved Nathan's life when Nathan was seven years old.
