Every non-religious person has their own path of getting there; some from the very start saying to themselves "This is bullshit!" Some raised by non-religious caregivers. Some have to overcome many years of layer-upon-layer of fundamentalist indoctrination like I did.
Trump represents an astounding degree of malignant narcissism. But there has been no shortage of shitty world leaders before him: Hitler, Musselini, Stalin, Pol Pot, Mugabe, Ivan the Terrible, Mao, Ferdindand Marcos, Saddam Hussein, Idi Amin, the trio of Kims in poor N.Korea, and on and on. But then, I guess plenty of people don't really think about history much. As Sting sang, "History will teach us nothing!"
