Many might ask why our Nobel laureate made such a cheesy Christmas song? Well even if you haven't asked I will tell you anyway. Dylan fans will know that he was a great admirer of Woody Guthrie. He knew all his songs and went to visit him in hospital quite often near the end. The song is an homage to one of Woodies. I put the two of them back to back and you can make your own conclusions about their respective cultural influences at this time of year.
