Makes me remember how I felt watching the sun slowly obscured last August or watching the lunar eclipse last January from my home office window as the moon was setting. Simple mechanics but makes you feel more aware of being a part of the solar system.

Yep I traveled to SC to experience Totality last year.... it's a life changing experience.

Yup, I was in Montana, my 2nd total eclipse and am planning the next one in Texas in early 2020's. An awesome sight.

@starwatcher-al planning for the 2024 passing near Montréal.

@Lukian Midwest US wins again (although honestly, I hope I'm elsewhere in 2024!)

@LaMariposa I know, i'm already actively trying to find friends in the area..
But by then, I don't know what the border will look like.

@LaMariposa What,! you're not to have an open house for the eclipse?

Posted by starwatcher-alSolar minimum was in 2019 so the sun is ramping up in flares, spots and prominences.

Posted by starwatcher-alI missed the early phases of the eclipse but the clouds mostly left during totality. All in all a great eclipse. Next one is Nov. 8-22
