I'm new to the community and an aspiring astrophysicist. I was hoping to share knowledge and perspective among fellow lovers of astronomy (which I'm still very inexperienced in)

So where are you planning to study? I did experimental nuclear at Texas A&M. Princeton is excelent on astrophysics, but expensive. ASU is very good with easy access to a number of observatories and Jet Propulsion is a good trip. Good hunting!

How far along are you? Astrophysics was my first love, but I was talked out of it to pursue a more "responsible" career. Good luck to you!

Welcome and I love astronomy.

I am an astrologer, which appeared long before astronomy. Actually the 2 converge. I just study the planets and how they relate to each other and us. I have always been an astrologer. I am just not into arguing the belief. It is the oldest religion, however I think of it more as a spiritual science. It is not something I consider a belief, but more of a psychological tool. So do not put me in a box. We are but one galaxy, the Milky Way. There are thousands. I think Andromeda is the closest. I just am making this remark because the universe is so vast, only a small piece of it is known to us.
