it rather sounds & looks like a magpie, & a cute baby to boot, introduced by claudia currawong lol

here a gang of three piping pied currawongs:

You can easily see the hooked end of the beak in that film.

@FrayedBear, the video in your original post features a "baby magpie singing favorite song"; it even says so in the top left corner if you keep the pointer on the clip. currawongs have no whitish markings on the back of their neck but yellow eyes instead of brown, & their song isn't so much warbling & melodious. but whatever rocks your boat... ?

(currawong on the left, magpie on the right)

@walklightly yeah I had problems with the original clip and can only assume they were saying the song is currawong like. That's why I hastily made the second post and have been waiting for keen eyed / listeners to correct my posts.

@FrayedBear, & your wait was not in vain! 😉 the original clip is attributed to a woman (i suppose) calling herself claudia currawong. maybe that caused the confusion.

@walklightly I thought Claudia was the anthropomorphism of the bird by the clown doing the camera work and upload.

@FrayedBear .... ev'ryone's a winner, baby... i had to look up anthropomorphism, so learned something new today.

@walklightly interesting that you think me a baby - is that diaper clad or as in an expression of affection adult to adult. ?
?

@FrayedBear ?

it's this song that came to my mind, Richard. but i have to admit to the occasional use of terms of endearment, daalin ?

enjoy!

@walklightly It sounds like you have been infected with an ear worm. However, if not and your terms of endearment are coherent with your thoughts and actions, it is welcomed, reciprocated and thanked.

@FrayedBear, my attraction to & love for clever, witty people with an ability to think independently & deep comes natural. ...& i love the song too. you're welcome!

Ausies have cool names for their wild life .

Wikipedia suggests the following :
"Etymology
The term currawong itself is derived from the call of the pied currawong. However, the exact origin of term is unclear; the most likely antecedent is the word garrawaŋ from the indigenous Jagera language from the Brisbane region, although the Dharug word gurawaruŋ from the Sydney basin is a possibility. Yungang as well as kurrawang and kurrawah are names from the Tharawal people of the Illawarra region. "

@FrayedBear I thought that it was from the indiginous native language . In general Ausies have a cool variation of english , just the lyrics of Waltzing Matilda need some explaining . There was a popular song during the sixties "Tie Me Kangaroo Down Sport " that was full of Ausie words .

@Besalbub Someone has just posted in music fans the B side of that Rolf Harris hit. There are about 800 different Australian First Nation People tribes each with their own dialect if not language.
Waltzing Matilda is the world's most famous suicide song and many fail to notice that is what it is together with the old convict philosophy of I'll die rather than submit to authority.
