Yesterday I saw a new sight for me - what turns out to be a buteo of Swainson’s hawks forming up to go south. There was the main group swirling about, trying to find a thermal and other hawks flying in to join. There were at a low level and flew...

The baby killdeer have survived several soccer practices, at least one field mowing, a couple of thunderstorms, and whatever goes bump in the night. It won't be long before they're able to fly!

Hi there! I rescue birds by taking non-releasable pigeons and doves from wildlife rehabilitators. That was the area with the most need. My new pigeon/dove aviary is 80'X18'. Does anyone else rescue?
