Is anyone else in this group disappointed that Trump was elected? I wanted Ted Cruz to win the primary. Although I can't imagine ever voting for a Democrat, with all of their bad ideas, I think the Republican party has taken a wrong turn.

I didn't really pay attention to other GOP candidates in the early stages, I just waited for who rose to the top and voted Trump. I think Trump has brought much needed attention to politics. I probably would not have launched Republican Atheists if it weren't for Trump.

I like him because we have bleed out for everyone else around the world. No matter what color race or creed we need to help our Americans with purpose with wealth with power no hand outs but hands pulling us up.

My state of Idaho wanted ted cruz. Don't believe the media look with your own eyes if you're like me I Own my own business 401k. If your involved in wallstreet or stocks he is your guy. For entrepreneurial business ownership he is your guy. Military your guy. Manufacturing your guy. Anti flood immigration your guy. Etc.

Not me.. So far l think he has done an awesome job.. l don't give a damn if he says something stupid once in a while, hell, they all do.. He has brought our economy back from disaster and is making the left look even more stupid than we knew.. Nobody is telling me l have to pray, my investments are going up every month and liberals are panicking, as they should... ?

Yes I agree.

I voted for Cruz in the primary but on reflection I think Trump was the better choice. I just wish he would resolve the trade wars especially with China.

I started the last election cycle with an "anybody but Hilary" attitude, but the ascendancy of Donald Trump made me rethink that. In the primary, I voted for Ted Cruz because I thought he had the best chance of stopping Trump, and I'm a militant Atheist. In the election, I voted for Johnson. I thought that Trump started off comically, but his later policies have been, on average, improving. I still don't like him, but he's growing on me. Does anyone have a fungicide handy? 🙂

For all my complaints about Trump, I still feel we're a lot better off with him rather than Hilary. In the last election we had a choice between an incompetant demagogue and a capable thief.

Yes, and it's going to haunt the Republican party for a while if we survive his presidency.

I think he’s been a great president so far.

I am disappointed now, though I did vote for him. I think his behavior is unacceptable. I thought they would be able to reign him in a little more. That being said, I think he has had a lot of successes and overall we are better off than if Clinton had won.

I also voted for him, but being in California, my vote didn't matter much. I too think we are probably better off than if Clinton had won, but I'm not sure. It seems the Republicans do better when they are controlling the House and Senate, with a Democratic president, as an opposition party. When they control everything, they seem to get soft and move us closer to what the Democrats want, only slower. I am extremely glad that the Supreme Court nominations went through, though.

@sfvpool I am too. I think with Kavenaugh we were teetering close to something very dangerous had he not been confirmed.

@Christiep77, @sfvpool We are way better off than if Clinton would have won.
