A reference to companies who employ teachers online. These are legitimate companies, in this industry.

I work for Berlitz, though it was called Telelangue, a French company, before Berlitz took it over a years ago. (I wish they hadn't, actually.) I've managed to negotiate a better deal with them, but you have to prove your worth and be assertive about it.

There are also websites that allow potential students and online freelance instructors to make contact, and the fee is negotiated between instructor and student. I'm exploring that now. I'll post something on that later. I already have some private students online who pay me directly. That's the best, if you are able to attract them. For this work you do need to be online savvy, resources, applications, etc but I'm sure that's true of people here already.
