Your deffinition of high civilization, and what those details of high civilization exist, are to different things. There also exist evidence of modern humans further back. I believe a modern human tooth was discovered dating to 400k, but we all know the dates are a guess from 3 seperate test, from 3 seperate places, and a scholarly opion is accepted.
Very fascinating. I often wonder what archeologists of the distant future would think of us when they study our civilizations.
