Unseen photos of East End London in glorious colour
Local photographer Chris Dorley-Brown found the pictures when he was invited to review thousands of Granick's colour slides in early 2017.
The discovery led to the release of the book The East End In Colour, 1960-1980, published by Hoxton Mini Press.

I remember seeing bombed-out buildings in London when I was a child in the early 80s - it took a very, very long time for that part of London to be regenerated. In fact, although the cars were a bit more modern it hadn't really changed that much right up until the couple of years before the 2012 Olympics, when a huge amount of money was pumped into the area - but, if you explore the back streets, you can still find places just like the ones in the photos.

Posted by qpr81the hole in this image -according to the guide- was a window to let the sun rays hit a certain spot announcing the summer/winter etc.
