Biblical bad guys the ancient Philistines came from Europe, DNA shows
It has been suggested that they spoke an Indo-European language. Also the word Palestine derives ultimately from Philistine. They were there before the Hebrews in biblical times and they are still there. As for being the bad guys, I suppose they were, in the same way as the Sioux, Apache, Cherokee, &c. Identifying the bad guys is always left to whomever gets to write history.
Wow!! Gaaawd demanded a genocide of Philistinian immigrants back then..kinda like Natanyahu today...
God is becoming less of an Englishman and more of an American.
He's fine when his chosen people do it - that's manifest destiny. But when anyone else does it......
Brilliant. Love to be a descendant of the Philistines! The only reason they get a bad press is because they dared to say to the Israelites “No you can’t have our land, now piss off!”

Posted by qpr81Trajan's column in Rome. Shame they put a pope on top of it. Even though this is a monument raised over a genocide it's still something worth seeing.
