"Neanderthals: Meet Your Ancestors [Documentaries]
...............................................................................................
This two-part series investigates what they looked like and what would have happened when we met them. It turns out that what we thought we knew about them is wrong. They weren't hunched, grunting, knuckle-dragging ape-men at all. In a reconstructed, imaginary confrontation, we discover they were faster, smarter, better looking - and much more like us than we ever thought. ..............................................................................................Our guide is Ella Al-Shamahi, a young British rising star in Neanderthal research, with an unusual side-line as a stand-up comic. She enlists the skills of Andy Serkis, the global movie star and master of performance capture, best known as Gollum in the Lord of the Rings and Caesar in Planet of the Apes, who uses his Hollywood magic to, for the first time ever, create a scientifically accurate 3D working avatar of a real Neanderthal." ...............................................................................................

"I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinegrower." - John 15:1

Bam! Archeology. That "thing" - whatever it actually is - cannot actually be killed as it seems to exist outside of the "3-space manifold." Welcome to the 21st century.

I watched it on PBS..it was amazing well worth the time. It kinda shattered a lot of our concepts on them overall..and the fact is we meet and talk with them daily..cuz We are them..they're in our genome..

What is amazing to learn is that 70% of Neanderthal DNA is present in different ways in all humans, except for those who never left sub-saharan Africa. And that DNA can protect against flu, but not against diabetes or heart disease. And theoretically a Neanderthal can be cloned by using bits and pieces of Neanderthal DNA from modern humans.
