Anyone aware of any financial assistance program for tuition for elementary age kids to go to a school that specializes in ASD in Texas? The place where my son gets therapy is starting an academic program that will serve as a school. Part is covered by insurance but the academic portion is $10k. Which I just don't have. And he's made a lot of progress there, I don't want to pull him out. Unfortunately, if my son goes to our public school, since the place he gets therapy is 1.5 hr drive and closes at 4pm, he wouldn't be able to continue there at all. I applied to one place and was awarded a $3k scholarship, but they don't cover academic tuition (it was for therapy costs). I'm desperate as it's for my kids.

Feel free to reply to any comment by clicking the "Reply" button.In California, we have regional center, we ha to get an IEP from the pre school and elementary school, that our daughter was attending, before she could go to a school that specializes in children with Autism, Los Angeles Unified School District paid for it.....good luck
