I'm going to just say "hello" for now because I have been on my tablet too as it is and I need to put it down. I'm getting a headache. It's really makes me happy to find a few other brave souls who are willing to talk about this (more common than anyone lets on) variation of behavior. I am 60 years old and have a story to tell, but only discovered that Autism was the explanation for my "disabilities" last year. I have had little help from the professionals and tons from my fellow travelers on the internet . I have a memory of my own experiences and I'm figuring it out very slowly.

I really wish I could afford to get assessed but I'm almost positive that I am on the Spectrum. I'm in my mid-forties I am one of the kids that was diagnosed in the early 80s with ADD and was taking Ritalin. I have noticed that many of us are finding out 40s 50s and 60s are not only a d d, but also somewhere on the Spectrum and explains a whole lot.

Posted by altschmerzI was diagnosed with autism by a psychologist after a day of testing, but my current therapist keeps saying she doesn't think I have it (or I'm a "little bit" autistic).
