Hello awkward agnosticators!
Just a little light note of awkwardness. Every morning just about the time I get to work there's a prayer over the loudspeaker. I hate it. It always sucks. There's never anything redeeming about it. 9/10 times it is so awful that I involuntarily roll my eyes.

This week was a bit different. First, you should know that I am pretty sure that one of the little old ladies that does them is going senile. I don't know that for sure but she says some awkward stuff. That's why I am sharing this with you. I swear that she announced a Bon Jovi song. "Lay your hands on me! Lay your hands on me lord!" Laughing too hard to catch the rest of the "prayer" but she repeated that chorus at least 4 times. Would have made Tommy and Gina proud!

I know my praying nights are about to start. Every night when i work, my group hold on each others shoulders and pray to lord that everything goes smooth through the night. I tag along so I don't have to get on any type of religious conversation, they would NEVER understand my views and I would be looked totally different. But I always hope they don't ever ask me to lead the pray. I am not the type to come up with stuff.
I only think with all the problems it already happen every night we work together, (in their mind) what difference does it make????

I like it when I am chosen because it will not be religious.

if they ask you to lead the prayer, just say "like moses, i am slow of speech. unlike moses, i don't have aaron to speak for me. please let someone else lead the prayer." that should impress them! you don't have to say "and by the way, none of that ever happened." lol

when i was in the first grade, the lord's prayer came over the loudspeaker every morning. it scared the hell out of me. it said he maketh me to lie down in green pastures. i had had eye surgery (and awakened during it, too) so i knew about anesthesia. i did NOT want to be MADE to lie down!
