I pretty much stopped following hockey in the 90s but growing up it was like a religion in Canada.
@Surfpirate You mean it's not like a religion anymore in Canada? Lol. I'm just getting back into it since watching back in the early to mid 2000s. I still love to watch the game.
@Captain747ex I gotta tell ya that everyone hated the Red Wings when I was growing up, you could not give away a Red Wings hockey card unless it was Gordie Howe.
@Surfpirate I'm sure they did hate the Red Wings. Gordie Howe was loved by all. That's what is so great about hockey. You may hate a certain team, but there's always a player on that team that you respect for their skill. While I am a Red Wing's fan, I also like the Leafs as well. Those are my two favorite teams.
@Captain747ex you know how it is with kids, it is black and white and no grey to be found.

The universal anthem which will always be Canadian,i wouldn't mind learning it in french.
