Trudeau has fudged the numbers to hide a recession. His propaganda agency has EDITED Q2 data to paint a fairytale picture for their boss.
We have caught Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his government manipulating economic data to hide the fact that we are in a recession. This isn't just misleading; it's a blatant lie to the Canadian public.

Our team was up early today, waiting for the announcement of Canada's Q3 GDP numbers. We knew they would be negative, but we didn't know how bad it really would be.

If they were negative, it would mean Canada saw two consecutive quarters of negative growth (the textbook definition of a recession.) Trudeau couldn't let that narrative play out. Not with his poll numbers where they are - there would be a coup. So they fixed it for him.

As of yesterday, Q2 data was negative. Official numbers put things at -0.2%. Today, Q3 was revealed to be even worse, -1.1% growth.

That is bad. Really bad. But what is worse, is that magically this morning, Stats Canada quietly changed Q2's numbers show a slightly positive number.

As you would expect, Trudeau's bought and paid for media took the bait, hook, line, and sinker.

"Canada is not in a recession! All is well," the mainstream media breathlessly reported this morning.

But all is not well. In fact, most of everything right now is bad. Unemployment is skyrocketing, mortgages are defaulting, and families are hardly able to feed their children.

I have seen the recession with my own eyes. Readers of The Counter Signal who typically donate to fund our critical work have told me that times are tough. Some have been laid off, others have seen the company that they work for go bankrupt entirely. After Facebook and Google's tried (and still are trying) to suffocate us off the internet, followed by this, I don't know what we will do.

Here at The Counter Signal, I am doing everything that I can to try to keep our staff doing the work that is so vital to this country: exposing Trudeau for his corruption, deceit, and incompetence, but this month has been hard for us.
