As I’ve mentioned, my daughter’s moving 11 hours away, soon.
I’ve decided to spend as much time as I can with her before she goes, doing lazy, lovely stuff.
Today we took a walk around the neighborhood, chit chattin and finding flowers..
Oh, and wild life ?
When Syd was a baby girl, before I had her brother, I would take her out for walks, just she and I.
I’d point out the tiny spectacular tidbits like the veins in different leaves and the stamen, pistils and petals on different flowers..
Our eyes would get big and we’d say,”OOOHHH!!” in unison..
it was our thing, lol..
I was scared to death when I found out I was pregnant with her, but by the time she was almost here, I couldn’t wait to show her the intricacies that this incredible planet, life, offers..
She will go out there into this world now, no longer tethered to my arms.
She knows that if you pay attention and look closely, this world can be rich with Ooooohh!
I hope it continues to take her breath away.
Those are some beautiful things if she sees them as you do you have done a wonderful job. Enjoy this time together.
Posted by FernappleI went for a walk in the woods today, and on a tiny oak tree, I found this wonderful cluster of, so called, Oak Apples.

Posted by sc62Day trip to the lake last weekend. I spent most of an afternoon next to this lily patch. It was such a nice, refreshing mini retreat.
