While searching the ashes of my wildfire-wrecked home, I found this puddle, the remains of a small brass Buddha that sat on my porch. I of course noticed the heart shaped space, as a reminder to “keep my heart space open.” A profound message at a time of such tremendous loss, and a beautiful way to move through grief.
