Cool. The craziest thing is that the dot of dirt on my screen gave the lead one an eye in the prefect spot.
that is amazing.... never seen a cloud like that.
new mexico is full of weird clouds. the sky is the thing here.I am at a point where the mountains meet the plains and there is a fairly consistent wind current at one general area that I can expect to see lenticular clouds
@btroje may be thats what I found so unsettling when I visited. Very strange feel to your state.
@Blindbird @btroje I haven't been there much. the South Southwest I mean. on vacations we would hit the national park circuit. I like how open it was. Earth seemed bigger. the skies were Bluer. there was something appealing about the sparsity of the Petrified Forest. the Grand Canyon c'mon. Arches. I'm still wowing. that's been nearly 40 years.
Whale,whale,whale would ya look at that?
lol
@btroje that is breathtaking btw.
Posted by FernappleI went for a walk in the woods today, and on a tiny oak tree, I found this wonderful cluster of, so called, Oak Apples.

Posted by sc62Day trip to the lake last weekend. I spent most of an afternoon next to this lily patch. It was such a nice, refreshing mini retreat.
