Leaves of three let it Be! Never meant anything to me, my sister Pat and I were genetically blessed with a resistance to poison ivy. She has been warning me it was in her late 50s that it started to affect her and break her skin out in blisters like the rest of the world. Yesterday I pulled some vines up near the edge of my property. I washed with soap and water and vinegar. Today I've got blisters on the back of my hands. My home remedy for poison ivy, sumac, sunburn and dry nose and a host of other maladies.
PREPERATION H! Stops itching keeps your skin moist. The kind without hydrocortisone.
The cheapo store brand is just as good for bee stings as the expensive name brand.
Probably works great on the rhoids too.

I can pretty much look at it and get blisters. I have found that good old soap and elbow grease does a really good job of getting rid of the oils before they have a chance to really soak in. but there's always that sneaky spot that i miss. my dad's side of the family can pretty much lick on it, but unfortunately I took after my mom side on that one.

I've always been allergic to the stuff. When I was in school a friend put some logs in the fire that had some poison ivy on them. I got the stuff inside my mouth and down my throat. I spent a week in the hospital. I've heard that Jewell weed is really good for the rash.

Is soluble in alcohol. In theory you can remove it from your skin before it does any damage. In practice, you will probably be too late
