This vine had a total bloom last year then lost all its leaves later. It is a big plant in a large pot but has probably never been transplanted. It is in about as big a pot as you could handle inside. I wonder if I took it out of the pot, trimmed the roots gently and gave it totally new soil if that would be a good thing or totally insane.
Resurrection???...hmmmm.
it was a multibranching stick last winter. I trimmed it back when I could tell a branch was dead. It threw out a lot of new tendrils in late winter. It is a big old vine in a large pot I am taking care of it for a friend whose place it outgrew. I want to repot it and wonder if trimming back the roots is a good idea?
Posted by FernappleI went for a walk in the woods today, and on a tiny oak tree, I found this wonderful cluster of, so called, Oak Apples.

Posted by sc62Day trip to the lake last weekend. I spent most of an afternoon next to this lily patch. It was such a nice, refreshing mini retreat.
