Article VI of the Constitution makes their entire objection moot. No religious test clause, which predates the first amendment by 4 years. Therefore, our Founding Fathers knew in 1787 that there should be no religion held above any other, and just a scant four years later, they made it clear that that means any and all religions. or lack thereof, should be separated from the authority of the State. They figured all that out in just 11 years after declaring Independence, and decided to make it abundantly crystal clear in just 15 years after that same said declaration. It very often seems to me that the only way these idiots will learn the history and importance of church-state separation is to let them go ahead and have their way to the point that the government is dictating their religious practices, and even what beliefs within Christianity are acceptable. They have no concept what religious freedom is all about.
