What are your favorite instruments in your collection? Show off your axes n kits n keys and rigs any piece of equipment you’re proud of. Here are my two all purpose workhorses:

A red Gibson ES-333 modified with the original ‘55 Seth Lover Humbuckers and chrome Grover tuning pegs.

And a Takamine EN-12C natural series. The clarity of its midrange, intonation and harmonics are insane. The bass and high end don't boom and ring quite as loud as my Martin used to, but the sound of this guitar is balanced insanely well across the midrange of frequencies. And the neck radius and low action on it make it the most comfortable, easy playing acoustic I’ve ever touched. It just barely takes a heavier touch than an electric, barely.

They quit making this Cedar topped model around 01 or 02 when I got mine, but I read that the dude from Sister Hazel has two of them he liked them so well. I can see why.

That acoustic has gone everywhere with me, to the beach, camping, busking through Chattanooga in the rain and sun and it plays and sounds as good as the day I got her. Plenty of character marks with stories behind them and it has literally soaked up so much of my blood sweat and tears at this point that it’s a part of me. It’s only about a 900 dollar guitar but when pressed for money I sold my 3000 dollar Martin and took a bath on it before Id dream of giving up my Takamine.

My favorite photo of my favorite drumkit...ready to rock!

Good god that’s purty!

@Wurlitzer Thanks! It was always my bucket list kit....finally got it last year!

That's a nice pro kit. I see you got it mic'd and mixed. Do you do session work?

@kensmile4u No, my band plays fairly large venues and we mic everything. We are an 80's tribute band called Burnin' Down the House' - I'd much rather play live shows anyway! 😛

I love Takamine guitars. I used to have a Classical guitar of theirs, and the sound and playability was great.
But I eventually sold it to get an Manuel Rodriguez Model FF. It was very expensive and I had to work really hard to save up the doh for it, but it was worth it. That guitar has the best natural sound I've ever heard.

Through out the many decades I've owned a whole crap load of different electrics.
But one time at the music store i was going to see if I could find a good strat because they were some how just a great fit for me.

One of the guys that worked there asked if I'd ever played an Ibanez before. I told him that I didn't because they were a Jazz guitar maker.
This was back in around 1982.
he told me that they started making electric models for rock, or metal.
So he got me to try one out.If I remember correctly, it was an RG series that I got to play.

In a matter of minutes I was in all wonder of just how versitial, and great to play. I bought it on the spot.
I've never owned anything other Ibanaze electric guitars since then.
My bass 5 string is an Ibanez as well.
