I definitely fit the definition, for as long as I can remember--not being comfortable looking other kids in the eye at my own 5th birthday party, for example. I've always enjoyed a lot of time alone, reading, taking hikes in the country, etc. Now it seems that I'll be healthier if I have closer relationships, according to the media....I wonder...

I like having people around - but I can only tolerate it in small numbers. Too many at people at once makes me crazy. I'm not a multitasker either. As far as being healthy - I think whatever is less stressful will probably be healthier. Could be different for different people.
