I often am more sociable and outgoing when I'm feeling upbeat and not feeling self-conscious and worrying about what other people may be thinking of me.

I can't tell you I need to think about this for a week or so.

I just can't handle any more rejection.

People just make me tired.

Not quite so bad as I have gotten older ... but when I was younger, I got lots of insults and ridicule and I let it get to me. Being introverted comes naturally, as I can still be afraid that others think I am trash. But getting older helps.

I honestly do not care what people think of me anymore. I don't need to impress anyone or change who I am to please others. I am me, accept it or get out of my life. ?

I think I'm mostly introverted because a lot of people only talk about other people. "Omg, did you hear what Karen's nephew's son did?" No, and I don't care. I was also taught as a kid to not interrupt people when they're talking and since some people never shut up, I stay quiet.

My insecurities are separate from my introversion.

You can be an outgoing introvert. You can be an extroverted homebody too. The best way I've heard it described is that if you're introverted you use alone time to recharge and if you're extroverted being around people invigorates you.

Personally I can be very social but interacting with a lot of people, especially new people, is exhausting. A small get together with a few people is fine but a party with a house full of people drains me. I feel like it's just the amount of stimulation of it all is what zaps my energy.

I don't know. I feel like that's more of a shy personality than introvert. I think the introvert has no interest in pleasing the masses and therefore wouldn't really care what others think.

I don't worry at all what others think. But I do prefer alone time.

Yes ,I think a lot of introverts worry about what others think.I use a mindset and asumme others are thinking the same.
