I find reading to be a peaceful pastime and a welcome respite from being sociable.

I am a member of the mental health support group on this site, and a member there wrote a post about this article (see link below). The gist of the article is that social support and a sense of being connected is important to improved mental health,...

There's a reason why we're quiet.

This is going to be a mini-rant. I am experiencing a sense of frustration; I have seen a significant number of posts in this group which all relate to the "other people are stupid, other people are boring, I don't want to waste my time with them" ...

I am a closet introvert. i am very talkative and friendly when we first meet, but become guarded as time goes on. been burned by friends whom I thought were confidants so I am extremely selective in what I share the longer I know you.
