Good luck. There are only three of us that are still active here, besides you, as far as I know. I've been on here several years now, and have yet to meet one person from this site in person. Living in the middle of FL, you've got a better chance than I have of meeting someone from your area to date, tho you probably live in the worst part of FL for finding any non-believers.

Not really, Tom, fortunately I live in near UG in a city that has been described as an “island blue in a sea of red,” so there
are plenty of moderns here to hang with, but also happy to “hang with” people like you, from my home state of Iowa (go Hawks!) I’m afraid my relatives up there all Trumpies, many of whom question things like evolution and global warming. Be that as it may, I, as the eternal optimist, continue to “pray“ for them in hopes that they may eventually “see the light“… He he

Ha. I meant UF (The University of Florida)

@TSackville You are probably better off then there than me here. Iowa has now become a one-party state, politically, dominated by the Repubs in all statewide elections and the legislature. The ignorant hicks are winning, at least for the time being. I live near Des Moines, so at least an enclave of educated blue voters are nearby. That is why I drive to Des Moines and West Des Moines for all my social life and entertainment.

Good thinkin. Nevertheless… You have my… Sympathy 😢

Posted by Donna_IGeneral question. Do you have a favorite Iowa food? Casey's breakfast pizza, pork tenderloin, maidrites, etc... Mine is taco pizza. I hadn't realized it (theoretically any way) began in Iowa.
