Hello!
Mainly posting to say hello, again.
Thanks for telling me about this group.
As for your job search,
I just retired from 12 years of working for Walmart.
Walmart is the biggest company in the world,
and starting wage is at least $10 per hour.
I have seen one store with a big sign at the entrance, offering $15 starting wages.
All the benefits,
medical,
dental,
vision,
401k,
Walmart stock,
paid time off,
all those benefits are fairly nice, in my experience.
The only thing better, that I know of, is:
driving a truck, delivering things besides pianos,
plumbers, electricians, and such in the building trades,
and,
running your own business can be great.
My family, here at the house, has a lawn and property cleaning business.
So many houses have a large volume of junk,
left behind by renters,
and the landlord hires my brother-in-law and his family,
to haul it all away.
Anyway,
if you get a job at Walmart,
the first thing you say to a customer, is:
"Doin' alright today?"
And if they look lost,
"Can I help you find something?"
And then you walk the customer to the item they want.
A lot of walking,
at a Walmart supercenter.
But working at a Walmart seems like much less stress,
than working at a fast food joint.
But, if you don't like any of that advice,
then,
just accept another friendly hello.
Hello!

Hello, and thanks, I actually just interviewed with a property cleaning business yesterday, and have an interview driving a truck this afternoon. Thanks again for the reply.

Hello, and Thanks again. Update, I got hired at a local Greenhouse delivering across the midwest for at least four months, so breathing easier. Oh yeah, welcome to one of the smallest groups here, I think we all need to start talking a lot more. 😁

@OnTheInside Great!
If you deliver some live plants to the West Kellogg Walmart, in Wichita, say hi to my old boss, Paul Tasker, for me.
He is the department manager of the garden center at that Walmart, and has been for many years.
You will notice his big smile.
