Bio

Uhhhhhh, short, blond, crazy person. Yup, that pretty much covers it.

Why crazy you ask? I don't really know . Everybody says it though so there ya go.

And just in case you are wondering, it's still hot and wet. And I have wicked muscle control.

My life's motto is "I was fine before you came along and I'll be fine after you leave"

Obedience to parents

I had an abusive step father and a mother that ignored it and chose him over me. So I got pregnant and married at 16. Then life sent me down a crazy path.

Well, I did a happy dance in the living room when I opened signed divorce papers from the court. It had been a year and a half since I kicked him out though.

My small town is one of the most diverse in the country. At last count there were at least 25 different languages spoken in our grade schools. The population was fewer than 30,000 in the last Census. And at one time we had the "World's Largest, Free Concrete Municipal Swimming Pool"
Praying is so useless it doesn't accomplish anything in life.

Praying is like riding a rocking chair, it gives you something to do but it doesn't get you anywhere.

Original sin
sewchick57 comments on Feb 17, 2018:
Original sin has absolutely no bearing on my life whatsoever. Not believing in god or the bible frees you from all that nonsense. ALL of it.

Do you have a family member (or person in your life) that you just don't want to deal with?
sewchick57 comments on Feb 16, 2018:
I don't speak to my mother or my sister. I went two full years without speaking to my mother and then due to what happened with my oldest son I've had to speak to her about 6 times. i'm done now though. She can go back to leaving messages. It's probably been 3 or 4 years since I talked to my sister. After I quit talking to them I discovered how much more pleasant my life was without them in it.
1 Corinthians 16:22 - "If anyone does not love the Lord—a curse be on him." wtf.

Ever used Craigslist personals?
sewchick57 comments on Feb 16, 2018:
I have answered ads and placed ads. From what I know the experience is different for men and women. Men get a ton more scammers than women do. They all want the men to join websites or some such and ask for a credit card. When I put an ad up, it's kind of like being run over by a steamroller of email. I'll get close to 100 emails in the first couple days. I get scammers too but they use a different tactic with women. They're always either some kind of engineer or ex military, either divorced or widowed with a child between 8 & 14. They try to play on massive flattery and pull the heart strings with the "motherless child" bs. If you're going to place an ad on craigslist you had better be prepared for a lot of dick pics. I have actually met a few men thru the ads. A couple of them barely got past hello before I had a sudden engagement somewhere else.

sewchick57 comments on Feb 14, 2018:
I made a scammer really mad once. In his very first email he said stuff like "if we become exclusive couple" and how he would fly out at the end of summer and we would be married. I told him I wasn't marrying anybody for them to get a green card. Then he said he had a Phd and didn't need to marry an American for a green card, that his Phd could get him a green card. I don't remember what I told him next but then he claimed he was born in New York. I asked him "So if you're born in New York and have a Phd what do you need a green card for?" Never heard from him again. By that time he was really, really pissed off though. Wrote all sorts of thing about how horrible American women are, blah, blah, blah. <shrug> It was amusing for a couple of days. I even get scammers on Words with Friends!! They start a game and a chat right off the bat and play horrible. Anymore I use them to rack up points until they go away. LOL
How often do you self-censor? Is it hard to bite your tongue?
sewchick57 comments on Feb 13, 2018:
I would say a fair amount but I think some people at work might disagree. They used to ask me questions about things but half the time they'll say "NO! I don't want to know" before I can answer. i just laugh.
What is your highest level of education?
sewchick57 comments on Feb 13, 2018:
I ended my formal education in 9th grade. Doesn't mean I stopped learning though. One snowy day about 8 or 9 years after I quit school, I got up and drove the hour to a local junior college, took the first 3 tests and had an extra long lunch, came back and took the other two tests to get my GED. I passed four of them above 95%. No study, no prep of any kind. Then later on that same year one of the teachers at the local school talked me into taking the ACT. No study, no prep. I scored 2 points above the national average.
Is it consider mental abuse if someone preaches to you about their religion without your consent?

What’s your thoughts on profanity?
sewchick57 comments on Feb 11, 2018:
I will say you probably shouldn't call ladies that have the power to hunt you up and take money out of your paycheck before you get it and scream and swear at them. Just sayin'.
What’s your thoughts on profanity?
sewchick57 comments on Feb 11, 2018:
Everybody in my office swears. But then we all tend to be mean girls too.
Legalize it?
sewchick57 comments on Feb 11, 2018:
I live next door to a legal state. It's a 4 hour drive one way to the closest weed store. So every couple of months I go and have a nice dinner and a nice shopping day. Beats the hell out of having to hunt up some sketchy dude and have no idea what you're actually getting. Then of course there's the massive tax haul this idiotic state is missing out on.

sewchick57 comments on Feb 11, 2018:
When I do actual exercise I have a cool indoor walking track right outside my apartment door. I don't have shoes that make my feet happy right now but when I get shoes I'll go back to doing my walking track. My walking track includes two stair cases, 42 steps up, down to the other end of the building and it's 42 steps down. When I first start I can only do about a lap and a half. Then when it starts getting too hot on the 3rd floor I just do laps around the outside of the building. I wore out a pair of shoes doing that and lost a good 20 pounds but I haven't been able to find shoes that make my feet happy since. I think I found a good pair of shoes, I just have to work them into my budget. I actually got myself off insulin doing those damn stairs!! But here's the thing, since I am diabetic if I'm going to walk and do the stairs, the shoes can not make my feet unhappy.
Have you delt with domestic abuse?
sewchick57 comments on Feb 10, 2018:
Twice. First from a step father and then from a husband. I went from the frying pan to the fire. I had a bruise from my step father that lasted a full 6 months. But of course my mother claims she had no idea.

How Has Your Sexual Libido Changed As You Have Aged?
sewchick57 comments on Feb 6, 2018:
Yes, but I don't think it had anything to do with age. I was married to somebody that I ended up having no desire to have sex with. Bad sex will kill your libido dead, dead, dead. Then I got divorced. Then I met a man. He's gone now but he resurrected my libido. Oh yeah.
Wabi-Sabi. Do you find beauty in imperfection?
sewchick57 comments on Feb 6, 2018:
There's no such thing as perfection. If it's made by a human hand it's not perfect. If it's made by nature, and no two dogs, cats, leaves, grass blades, etc., are the same, which one is the perfect one?

What are your thoughts about women changing their last name after marriage? I am not fan of change ...
sewchick57 comments on Feb 4, 2018:
I changed my name the first time I got married. By the second time I got married my kids were teens and they asked me not to change my name. Since I got divorced the second time I didn't have to change my name again. I'm not changing it again.

How do you deal with Door-knockers?
sewchick57 comments on Feb 4, 2018:
I used to always tell them I was a witch. They'd cross the street when they came to my property line for ages after that. Now I live in a security building. They leave their junk down at the front entrance and everybody ignores it.

I get lots of "civil engineers" living in London. I swear they use form letters!! I never friend anyone on facebook that I don't know or that isn't a friend of somebody I know. I get tons of requests from men that have been on facebook for all of a minute and have no friends.
