My brand new computer is so messed up!
If my mouse curser is somewhere else, I will be typing and it all of a sudden jumps and I have to fix it and retype it. Or it will highlight without me doing anything and then it deletes. It's a brand new DELL laptop from September of last year. I end up having to retype more than I should. If I push a letter key, it will sometimes jump back up to my already typed words and start inserting letters. I like the computer, but not this stupid keyboard.

Feel free to reply to any comment by clicking the "Reply" button.You should be able to go to settings and turn the track pad off. I did. I have a leashed mouse. A cordless one would just go walkabout.

Probably. The computer was on sale for $500.
It's my wireless mouse.
