The winds hit 64 here today. Ahhhhhhh, spring in Kansas.

Ross the Boss Janssen said some places hit 75 or more

In the 50's about 10 am, we saw a black cloud coming from the north-west. The air smelled of dust, and soon it rained big mud drops that splatterd on the sidewalk and car making a mess. Then, before the ground was fully wet, the sandstorm hit, and turned day into dusk. At noon, we could not see across the two lane street in front of our house. It lasted three days and nights, dust came through every crack into the house and settled as a powder. It got into our mouths and ground against our teeth. It was opressive.

There is a local bridge that is notorious for the winds that blow across and cause unprepared drivers to swerve into other lanes.

Do they look like this:

I walked by an elderly man a few minutes ago and he said "windy enough?" And I said "I'm pretty sure a witch on a bicycle flew past me!" Lol
