We had a city wide power outage last night so even if I had wanted a pizza I couldn't get one. My building is all electric so I had to settle for cereal. Yessssssss!! Cap'n Crunch to the rescue!

On the subject of pizza delivery (not 420); I can't understand why anyone orders delivery pizzas.

If you keep a pack of frozen pizza dough in the freezer, a carton of passata, some grated cheese (especially mozzarella), crushed dried oregano, ham, tin of pineapple chunks, courgette (zuccini), pepperoni, large black olives and tins of anchovy fillets you can throw together a wide variety of pizzas which are ready in half an hour. (You also need some flour to cover your baking tray and rolling pin.)

Cheaper, faster and more tasty than delivery pizza.

Washing up involves your baking tray, knife (used to spread the passata), rolling pin and your hands.

Ah smashing a pineapple on pizza lover! Even easier is ready made frozen pizzas to which I add a little of what is available/ left over then cook.

The last thing I want to do when I'm baked is bake something.

@AncientNight Each to their own taste.

@ArthurPhillips how much harder is it to dial delivery, choose, find the money or use credit card than to open the freezer to take out a pizza, unwrap it, put it in the oven, turn on the heat, have apperitif or beer waiting for the oven to ping "ready"? ?

@FrayedBear Not for me. Besides, freezer pizza doesn't taste the same as delivered. I'm sorry, but it's true.

@AncientNight Really biased or simply loyal in ignorance of not having tried many others outside of Bay Ridge/ Brooklyn/ NY? Have you tried Bondi, NSW, Australia?

@ArthurPhillips Ah! You like the steamy cardboard flavour from traveling in a plastic heat retaining bag across town over fresh from the oven and onto the dinner table freshness?

@FrayedBear Well, I live in a small town, so I can say it's not quite that cold and impersonal. Our one local place delivers very good, very high-quality pizza. Now, I want one.

@ArthurPhillips Well send me a virtual slice for having solved your supper problem and thereby helped create employment in your town. I live in a very small town and the pizza franchise owner was known for using product past its use by date and other underhanded tricks. Sadly youth unemployment is high and jobs scarce so the employees do what they are told and to bad if the customer gets food poisoning.

@FrayedBear I didn't order pizza last night. I smoked a roach, ate a protein bar, went to bed.

@ArthurPhillips OK thank me for keeping the insect population down and send me a virtual protein bar - I'm sure that it will be as nutritious as the one that you ate! ?????

I wish I was in a legal state!

Apparently, a lot of people share that sentiment. Real estate is going crazy here in Denver. My nome has increased in value by $44k in the last year because of the influx of stoners into Colorado. The Denver housing market is second only to northern California right now in price.
