And he overdosed...Partly from playing the "joker" and taking the roll too seriously....and died far too young...

Heath Ledger died due to accidental drug overdose. Reports even suggested that the actor was depressed after playing Joker in The Dark Knight. The character took a toll on his mentally and physically, so much so, that he suffered from insomnia....

And even when they are not working, they are often "on call" on those Holidays, so they can't go out of town to be with friends and family. That's why I'm not with my girlfriend (a nurse) today.
