My best guess is , they're more likely to try to learn how to please their partner . In reviewing information I've read about our presidents having above average IQ's , several of them had affairs . JFK , Roosevelt , Clinton , & Jefferson , just off the top of my head .

If they also have consciences, I agree. However, I don’t do men.
A woman of normal IQ could probably deceive me.

Methinks high IQ folk are less likely to use the term “cheat” in this context.

What high IQ folk are likely to do is say something like “My sample size for that conclusion is 1 and my confidence level is 100%.”

Do Hi IQ people make better lovers ?

My opinion is that answering a question with a question is not fair.

If that is true it is probably not directly related in high IQ. Most men with high IQs have careers in professional disciplines that require a lot of ...well, discipline.

Given the Mensa Gatherings I've been to...

There's a reason Gatherings are "Vegas Rules"

Do you define “Vegas Rules” as “What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas” or as something involving broken limbs?”

I don't buy it. I've seen studies that suggest that high functioning, high IQ people (men & women) also have high libidos and are known to have difficulties with monogamy. I know it applies to me.

Wrytyr Level 7 Feb 8, 2019

High libido has nothing to do with fidelity. I would suspect it would have more to do with low capacity for self control. Just guessing, of course.

@evidentialist No but they did find a slight correlation between intellect and libido.

@Wrytyr -- Cite the source, please. "They" bears little meaning.

@evidentialist All I have is this crap cell phone which is not conducive to extensive internet research. I read the article years ago so you can believe me or not. I don't care.

@Wrytyr -- It's not a matter of believing you. It is more a matter or determining the validity of the source. You read what you read. I merely want to know what you read so that I can read it for myself to understand how it was quantified, what parameters, restrictions, circumstances, and methods were employed in the research/study.

@Wrytyr Positive or negative correlation?

I don't see where any studies have been made relating to marital fidelity based on IQ, but maybe I've missed something. All I can say about it is that I have never cheated on my wife. So, there we have a sample of one -- which means zip.

It makes sense to me.... ?

No idea.
No personal experience.

Methinks this the wisest response here.
