I am more old school but Slayer, Armored Saint, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Disturbed, Static X, are a few that I would say stand out for me.

None of the above. I live in the United States where everybody thinks that Bon Jovi is a metal band and Appetite For Destruction was the last metal record to ever be released.

I live in the US, too, and have seen all of those bands (except for Pantera and Kataklysm) perform live, several of them more than once. I live in the Pacific Northwest -- lots of true metalheads up here! \m/

I would as any of the Satanic Hispanic bands Warbringer, Exmortus, Witchaven, or Merciless Death!

I checked out exmortus.
That is some good shit. Nothing beats a talented guitarist and double bass.
