My family lives in Mississippi so I frequently travel back and forth between there and Alabama. I find that when I pass thru Birmingham during that time of the year the view of the mountains covered in autumn leaves is nice.

Afraid you'll have to go to Virginia, at at least the Smoky Mtns in Tennessee to see leaves turning. Well now you'd have to time-travel as it's December. Plan for next year.
