Morning all,
@Scoobs, our gracious host, encouraged me to post here that I started a new group named AGING ALONE for us retirement-age fogies.
The existing group dedicated to Senior Issues is the Baby Boomer group ... they mostly do 'remember-when' nostalgia and fun stuff, whereas we face issues of reduced mobility, end-of-life decisions, chronic diseases which sap our energy etc. On top of it, THOSE OF US WHO LIVE ALONE AND FACE THESE ISSUES ALL ON OUR OWN, WITHOUT FAMILY SUPPORT !
Are you aware of the movement Death Cafe? I want to encourage that here in AGING ALONE we not skirt the realities of our stage of life, but also share that which is uplifting and encouraging of making every day count.
Of course, please keep in mind all the niceties of civil discourse with others ... I don't mess around with nonsense and if I think someone is disruptive, Boom! and Gone!
I'd love it if you would join, and then post ... to make it vibrant the members have to PARTICIPATE Here is the link [agnostic.com]

Posted by Fibonacci1618Saw this, loved it, thought I'd share it..... In truth, I don't like the minority vs Euro Saxon depiction, but the larger point I thought was worth sharing.
