I wonder what percentage of people are loners? Maybe one out of 20? One out of ten? What do you think?

Good question. I read an article recently that said loneliness is a serious problem in our society now. I know that there are often times when I feel lonely, and I guess it's like that for everybody at times and to some extent.

Are loners the same as introverts? If so I'd guess 40-50%.

I don't think they are exactly the same. Introverts like to be in small groups or one on one. Loners are alone much of the time.

@SKH78 Read the posts at the introverts group. They prefer to be, and are comfortable being, alone the majority of the time.

I am a Loner but I am also an Extrovert But it is my sheild to ensure no one sees how lonely I am. I have no problems with being in big groups and am usually the life of the party but have always felt like I was just on the other side of the glass
