What's the best company to start out with? I've been looking for a school to get my CDL from, then learned about company paid schools but I want to make the best initial choice I can make about starter companies. Any suggestions?

I've thought about getting a CDL for ages now but I have a couple of DUIs on my record from almost a decade ago. Is it worth even bothering?

Welcome, Blueskies! This is a fairly inactive group, as we all are busy going down the road.

Another fun thing. does it take three hours to unload 20 pallets in a trailer?

One of my favorite things today. Absolutely no room to reach the dock. Obviously these docs were not billed with a 53 foot trailer in mind.

Welcome, Aqhajimper! This is a pretty quiet group. I created it because so many of the trucks on the road have bible quotes. I just want to graffiti them all, but, I’m too law abiding.

New job is odd. Paid salary. So far, in two weeks, paid full pay, driven 4 hours. Two weeks, $2200, 4 hours driving. That’s it. Odd.

Does anyone else have a problem with the CB? I actually have stopped using it because of the inane racist sexist crap on there all the time. It is quite tedious and is mostly useless. The only time I use it now is to check when traffic is backed ...

Howdy @TruckerLynn! Just making my last dedicates FedEx run to New Mexico from IL. Been there 448 times in the last three years. Moving on to a new job.

No idea if anyone will ever join this group. Any 18 wheelers out there? Usually they are a god-fearin’ Lot.
