Were any of you on this site during the last solar eclipse in the US? Want to post your picks for me to see? I saw it and it was one of the fantastic moments of my life!

I saw it from Carbondale IL at the SIU stadium, we experienced 2 minutes and 38 seconds of totality. Clouds came in around noon (see the third pic) but at the beginning of the eclipse the clouds cleared giving us a grand view. The shadows were cool and unexpected (I did swipe that pic from another site).
Unforgettable experience, in the midst of 60,000 people, I'm doing it again April 8, 2024. This time we'll see about 4 minutes of totality in Carbondale.

I was in St. Genevieve (first time in that town, loved it!) I could have taken that last picture, lol. I think everyone had something like it! It was so amazing! I just have bad pics of the sun though. No good camera.

I loved when the birds got quiet and the night insects came out, and the 90 degree day became 80 in a instant. We had total were we were. Have seen lots of partials, so this was my first total.

Saw a 93% partial solar eclipse. Not at all like a 100% eclipse, I know, but it was still quite memorable as the sky darkened slightly. Sorry, no pics.

Posted by starwatcher-alSolar minimum was in 2019 so the sun is ramping up in flares, spots and prominences.

Posted by starwatcher-alI missed the early phases of the eclipse but the clouds mostly left during totality. All in all a great eclipse. Next one is Nov. 8-22
