My ex-wife owns a bookstore. And luckily, we're still friends.

When I was young , Mom made a point of finding a public library , as close as possible , to where ever we lived . Each week , she'd pick up as many books as her card allowed (16) , and bring home some for each of us .
When I was preparing for my move to my intended retirement , my , "little ," brother phoned our Mother and told her to tell me , I should get rid of my books , before I moved . When she passed on this bit of information , I responded , Mom the new to me house I just bought , has it's own library . I'm not getting rid of any of my books . We both laughed .

After Mom retired , her island home had a free book mobile , and they'd drop off enough books for her to read a novel a day , every week . Paradise island !

Hey, babe, your library or mine?

DoDapper Level 8 Sep 28, 2018

mine. i don't want to have to walk home after we "read"

@coralisthree - Oh, we're not just doing any reading. I'm going to make you learn to appreciate good bookbinding, and I only read hardcover.

@DoDapper you know how to turn my pages

Reading just one book isn't for me. I host a book club.

ok, enough!

@coralisthree - I don't see a 'please' or question mark.

@DoDapper please can you be done now?

@coralisthree - That's better.

@DoDapper 😀

That's the next best thing to actually owning your own bookstore. 🙂

Owning my own private library .

A sad chapter in the life of a librophile.

They weren't on the same page.

Posted by ReignmondI read this back in 2018. Absolutely loved it. It is an oddly small sized book, so it is good to travel with. [amazon.com]
