I live in the USA. We use to take our 2 daughters to feed all different kinds of ducks and swans. The swans could get nasty and chase my youngest daughter to bite her. These swans when out of water standing were quite large. The small lake was near a road. There was 4 of them. Eventually they wandered onto the road and of course hit by a vehicle. We went the other way when they got too interested in us because for some reason my 5 yr old was of great interest. They had their feathers moving in what looked like attack, so we moved on. I would never bring any creature out of its habitat, but then I an an activist for all life on the planet. The picture was on pinterest. I collect pictures, if that has not occurred to you by now. There often are no details. If there are, I grab them. I just know it is a beautiful swan, beautiful to look at and I really do not care if I know every exact detail of the damn bird.

@BettyColeman Responsible birders don't promote or feed such invasive species as House Sparrows, European Starlings, Mute Swans, etc. Since novice birders don't always know that, more informed people routinely inform them so they won't augment the problems by feeding them.

@birdingnut you are getting blocked very soon.. I did nothing wrong. I tried to see they were fed in the winter. Would you allow them to starve? What kind of person are you? Send me a message and convince me you care about animals. I even have more beautiful pictures of birds, but I am so sick of instead of enjoying the picture, you criticize about what I fee the birds, while did you ask? NO. Go AWAY.You ruin the whole damn group.
