I got my port on thursday. I start chemo on august 1. Any thoughts?

The port will be so convenient. Let me know if I can help answer any questions. If the hospital has massage, reiki, art and wriing and music for patients-it helps pass the time. Don't be afraid to ask. May be available.

They offer some but I live an hour away so it's not convenient
@confidentrealm Take all the support you can get. An hour drive once a week isn't much and it does help. Do they tell you that you require Neulasta after chemo? If so, you're lucky they have the OnPro option now. I had to drive back the day after chemo for a neulasta injection.
