Almost forgot! A man came in the shop today wanting to know if any of my artists did ink, pen or charcoal drawings. He has a photo of wilderness and his dog on a rock. Only one of my people does ink and she hasn't for awhile plus her syle is wrong. He wanted it fairly bold. I don't know how she is with animals. I told him I knew a group that I could show the photo to and see if anyone wanted to take a stab at it. He said he could go to $500 for it. I would take 30%, which is what I do with all the artists here. If he wants to do it, he has to bring me the photo or link. Anyhow, that happened if you might be interested. I never get too excited until I see some money though! Let me know if you would like me to do more of this kind of thing as I come across it.
I know there is an artist who has post his work here in thios group.
His work is some of the most AMAZING drawing I've ever seen. Have not seen anything lately from, wonder if that would be something he'd be interested.
That would be really cool. I do meet people who want things I don't have. It would be nice to be able to get them what they want, and at the same time get a artist paid work. One guy came in wanting his fancy tennis shoes painted! He did want to see the artists other work, and there was a artist he liked, but the artist didn't want to do it.
I wish I had the experience, I love ink, but I havent touched it in 10 years
I think I should like to find out what everyone does so that if I ever come across this situation again and can match artist and patron up again. I say this, because this is not the first time a patron has come in asking for something I couldn't provide, and I hate to let that get away. That could have been money in the pocket of a artist and happiness for the patron!
