I did it! After only about six drafts, I fit all twelve known generations on one page! Not births, deaths, or marriages, and no extended family (until my father’s generation)—that would be amazing! Amazing to look at, and amzingling hard to organize. 😉

My questions is this: any suggestions on now decorating the page?

I would have outlines of leaves (from the family tree) as a background. Maybe maple leaves, if you are from the East, or oak leaves. Just a thought! This list is quite an accomplishment!

One day I hope to make a large scale family tree. I have a lot more generations on my moms side. There are Mormons there. Early ones. Brigham Young was very close friends with my great grandpa (x’s 13) Gleason. I guess the only reason to be happy about such stout Mormons as family—their penchance for geneology. 😉

Actually, my Gleason family came over very early on in the 1600’s. Crazy!

My Aunt and I have been researching the family for years. Her, my Mom’s side, me, my Pops. We only found this Mormon side through dna, recently. See my Granny’s dad was forbidden to marry his pregnant Catholic girlfriend. Now we know they were Mormon, a lot of things fell into place. 🙂

This tree is my Pop’s side. Scotland, with a bit of England. My cousin, who is my Pop’s twin brother’s Son (important, as we are dna siblings), is submitting his dna to a National Geographic Scottish Clan project. So excited.

@Annaleda Not sure where the Gleasons in your family come from, but that iust a very famous name in Rochester NY- they have (or had?) a huge machine making company there, third largest employer after Kodak and Xerox. I am mentioning that because, as you may know, Mormonism started in Palmyra NY, outside of Rochestre by about 40 miles. This stuff is so much fun!
