Can anyone tell me what this stitch/pattern is called? I like it a lot but don't know how to find a pattern since I can't put a name to it. TIA.

Don't know but looks a little like a basket weave.

I think you are looking for the diagonal box stitch which is sometimes used for corner to corner patterns.

I have it in a book but forget the name. It's based on the shell stitch. I'm off to work though, so I'll have to look it up later.
