I was very grateful that the little guy made himself easy to spot...and go around. LOL

Did he rattle?

nah...he was sleeping...so I just tucked him in, kissed his cheek, took his pic...and kept hiking 😉

@SkotlandSkye hahahaha!???

What does "WMWR" mean?

.

Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge

[fws.gov]

@SkotlandSkye
What state is this in?

@LiterateHiker Oklahoma ...did you click on the link?

@SkotlandSkye
Yes. It's didn't specify Oklahoma. I speak English, not Acronym.

@LiterateHiker Well then it’s a good thing you were never in the military or worked for the government

@SkotlandSkye
Clear communication is important. Unclear writing and speaking result in misunderstandings and frustration.

@LiterateHiker It does say "Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge | Oklahoma" right at the top of the linked page.

@cmadler

Online dating is a written, visual medium. I feel irked by poor spelling and grammar, vague posts and mystery acronyms. Clear communication is important.

My apologies. Sorry I missed the top banner.

As published author and fast reader, I quickly paged down. My eyes scanned, starting on the left, mid-page where "Oklahoma" is missing.

@LiterateHiker hmmm....just sayin' I edit 4-6 books a month for a publisher....I have a few of my own published...also have research papers published....and even have that pesky Master's in Education and taught college. But, yeah...I'm sure I'm not as smart as you are. All because I abbreviated a Wildlife Refuge name in my talk-to-text post. LOL

@SkotlandSkye
Agnostic.com has members from all over the world. That's why I write, "Wenatchee, WA" instead of "Wenatchee," when I mention where I live. Consider your readers.

@LiterateHiker OMFG! are you going to give me a grade too? It's NOT THAT SERIOUS!

@SkotlandSkye
Calm down. Sorry your shorts are in a bunch.

Hope you learned something from my attempts at clarification. I did.

@LiterateHiker Yes, I learned that there is always going to be that ONE person who assumes that everyone is less educated and less intelligent than they are....ah, but I already knew that. Maybe you should learn that trying to insult others isn't going to fill that void inside of you.

@SkotlandSkye
There is no need to lash out at me.

I was hoping you learned not to use obscure acronyms.

@LiterateHiker Now I learned something. The Wichita I know is in Kansas.
