Feel free to reply to any comment by clicking the "Reply" button.I have a Sea Eagle 220(?) Inflatable kayak. It's tough as nails but most suitable for paddling in a river. In open water it has too much freeboard and catches ALOT of wind. Plus the bow flexes against the incoming waves and diminishes the power of each stroke. The wind will even get up under the bow and slightly bend it backwards (abaft), robbing you of headway. Then there's the diameter of the floatation tubes that cause you to have to 'reach' out for each stroke. My advice: get a hardshell if you're interested in paddling. Get an inflatable if you just want to go with the 'flow'.
